GOOD GIRL

P.S: This poem is for the people who don't recieve any support from their parents and society regarding their dreams. Applicable for both guys and girls, don't go by the title. Boys reading this I really hope you dig in deeper to the usage of several words because this is applicable for you too. Happy reading!(Hopefully)

Society is a threat.
Especially for girls making them fret.
Believed as their family's pride.
Any small mistake results them in becoming a 'bride'.

Hence every action she's scared of.
Due to the consequence she has to face off.
When plays against the rules, spoken so low.
Not a right thing to do so.

Because she's a good girl.
Her 'purity' shines more than her pearls.
Didn't know what's right and what's wrong.
Thus unfortunately suffering for too long.

This has to come to an end.
Let a girl have her own mind.
Let her make the rules bend.
Let her not allow society to make her blind.

Because she'll remain a good girl.
Her 'purity' will always shine more than her pearls.
Will learn it her way what's right and what's wrong.
Will not bear any suffering any longer.
Let the bird be free from her cage.

NOTE: I never thought to post Good Girl initially right away. I thought after a few more poems but seeing quite of my friends being restricted from their dreams, I decided to post this poem to help them out. To help them feel strong, confident and good about themselves.

Also bride doesn't really mean 'bride'. Read it again, you might get what I meant by bride. And purity doesn't mean 'purity'. It also covers one's goals, passions and ambitions. Thank you!

Once upon a time we be so good. All, even silly moments with food. But now you've gotten me broken and sore. No, I can't give you the steering; not anymore . Vulnerable, you threw me to the ground. Guess you didn't know eventually I'd rebound. Made me wait for hours; 1,2,3 and 4. No, I can't do the waiting; not anymore . Stuck inside me a 1 and a 2. World's going through a hindrance. The Corona's tough maintenance. Lost 351 K elysian people and counting, a panic. The pandemic is indeed a bad orphic. The doctors working day and night, Just to make everything alright. Eleutheromania now we desperately prefer. The pandemic's given us all a resfeber. Stages of anxiety appearing like colours passing a prism, Yet we keep forgetting we believe in meliorism. The belief that humans can improve the world, no matter how much of a pandemic hurled. Believe in meliorism, like how you indulge in patriotism. We'll keep fighting, by staying with ourselves. Can make Catastrophic Corona left in no sighting. We all can do it ourselves. We can make Corona evanescent. But remember, everything's gonna be okay.
